Nightly Homework
- Each night, your child should be reading a Good Fit book for at least 20 minutes. They know how to use the five-finger rule to select their book. Please sign their Reading Log every night (to be collected at the end of the month).
Additional, purposeful, nightly homework is listed below. Please note that your child should NOT be spending more than about 45 minutes each evening on homework. Please have them complete what they can to the best of their ability within that time frame. Learning is about accuracy, comprehension and improvement, not speed and time spent. We are striving for quality, not quantity. A good night's sleep, exercise, healthy food and quality time with family is the most important homework I can assign.
